The months of waiting are now almost over for thousands of the UK’s complementary practitioners and therapists, as camexpo enters its final few weeks of preparations before doors open for its 11th edition, on 5-6 October, at London’s Earls Court.

With just a handful of stands remaining, some of the recent additions to this year’s line-up include Physique Management Company, Pavilion Health Care, the CMA, UnBEElievable Health, Global By Nature, Payleven, and Backjoy Europe BV.

The last month has also seen a rise in the number of first time exhibitors looking to increase their brand presence in the CAM marketplace.  Now totaling around a third of all 2013 exhibitors, this year’s show will see debut appearances by Weleda UK, Botanical Brands (exclusive UK distributor of New Zealand’s Living Nature skincare products), Organic Burst, Tropic Skincare and Makeup, BioNutrition International, Lyprinol, Bare Biology, Goldilocks Pillows, Healing Hands Network, Seek Natural, The Henna Den, The LitePod Company, e-clinic; and ASEA – the world’s only source for replenishing Redox Signaling molecules.

Previously confirmed (new) companies include (AOR Canada’s sole European distributor), practitioner-only supplier – BioMedica Nutraceutials; Solgar Vitamin & Herb; Slendier Organic Konjac Pasta; Medica Health International; Premier Research Labs; Cambridge Nutritional Sciences; Vivomed; Ovantis; C & P Medical; print services specialist PL Blake; RUBBEZZ; Aduna; The Homeopathic Health Clinic; National Counselling Society; Water For Health; and Algeos Physio & Rehab.

Enjoying record attendance of 5,492 last year, and already firmly established as the largest professional show serving the complementary, natural and integrated health care industry, camexpo may need little introduction.  However for those practitioners, CAM students, and natural health and beauty buyers that have yet to enjoy the camexpo experience for themselves – 2013 may be the perfect year to give it try.

“Busy, informative, invigorating, and enjoyable” – that’s the verdict from camexpo 2012.  This year’s event certainly looks set for more of the same, with 200 companies -exhibiting everything from herbal remedies and natural cosmetics to essential clinical services and supplies.

There’s no doubt that researching new products and services is a practical draw for many repeat visitors, and there’s plenty on offer at camexpo 2013 to suit most budgets.

This year’s big deal discount voucher book, which is available to all attendees upon arrival, is, once again, packed full of exclusive show offers that can only be claimed whilst at camexpo.  Participating exhibitors include Lepicol (Protexin); Bio-Kult (Protexin); Lyprinol; Indigo Herbs; Manifest Health; The EMMETT Technique; The Grief Recovery Method Certification Training; Igennus Healthcare Nutrition; The Colloidal Company; The Jing Institute of Advanced Massage & Training; Rio Health; New Seasons Natural Products; Amber Ointment; Ayurveda Pura London; Tropic Skincare and Makeup; Essex Logistics; Nucleotide Nutrition; KiB Healthcare; Really Healthy; Essence of Morocco; Cell Symbiosis Therapy Academy; Learn Buteyko; and The Nutri Centre.

Of course camexpo wouldn’t be camexpo without its stellar line-up of free Keynotes.  Notable highlights include a newly announced session by naturopath Benjamin Brown on ‘Healing the heart with food’ (12.45pm on Sunday 6 October).  A popular speaker at camexpo last year, Brown will discuss current research into whole food traditional dietary patterns, clinical interventions shown to reverse heart disease, and foods for heart health.  He’ll also cover topics that are at the cutting edge of nutrition; including the role of advanced glycation end products (AGEs), and the emerging benefits of dietary nitrate.

camexpo’s CPD-accredited education programme includes over 100 seminars, workshops and demos (see the show’s website www.camexpo.co.uk for further details).  Entry to the exhibition includes access to two Keynote Theatres (sponsored by revital), The Demo Theatre, and Hot Topic Discussion Desks (space permitting).

UK Health Radio and Europe Health Television’s Atiq Bhatti will be there! Look out for his reports.
