Shows: Brave Together Podcast: Support and Community for Caregiving Parents

The Brave Together Podcast is hosted by Jessica Patay, Susanna Peace Lovell, and Dr. Zoe Shaw — three caregiving mothers whose personal journeys and professional expertise converge in honest, hope-filled conversations.

Jessica Patay is the founder and CEO of We Are Brave Together, a thriving nonprofit serving over 4,000 caregiving mothers across all 50 US states and 30 countries. After experiencing the profound isolation of raising a child with Prader-Willi syndrome, she committed her life to building the community she once needed. Jessica launched the Brave Together Podcast in 2020 to bring expert insight, real stories, and hard-won hope directly to caregivers. She is also the co-author of Becoming Brave Together, a collection of stories that amplifies the voices of extraordinary caregivers around the world.

Susanna Peace Lovell is the acclaimed author of Your True Self is Enough: Lessons Learned on My Journey Parenting a Child with Autism. She is both a certified professional life coach as well as a certified soul psychology coach, reiki practitioner and disability rights advocate dedicated to the health and wellness of disability families around the globe. Susanna’s journey of navigating through the worry and heartbreak of raising a child with myriad disability diagnoses led to the discovery of her forever life calling – helping families like hers experience joy, balance and purpose in their own lives.

Dr. Zoe Shaw is a licensed psychotherapist, author, speaker, and complex shame expert. As a mother of a daughter with Prader–Willi syndrome, Dr. Zoe knows firsthand the emotional, relational, and identity-shifting journey of caregiving—its resilience, its grief, its fierce love, and the way it shapes a woman from the inside out. Dr. Zoe is the author of A Year of Self-Care and Stronger in the Difficult Places. Her work has been featured in OprahMag.com, Oprah Winfrey Network, Forbes, Today.com, People.com and Recovery Today.

Each episode of Brave Together reflects a profound commitment to the mental health of caregivers by offering educational tools and compassionate support to nurture their wellbeing. As an extension of the global nonprofit We Are Brave Together, the podcast carries forward the mission of resourcing caregiving parents, building communities, and ensuring every caregiver knows that they are not alone.
